New Pen Name
Quick update to everyone, something I will be reposting 2-3 times per week for at least a month. I am CHANGING MY AUTHOR PEN NAME!
I will be rebranding myself due to some extensive googling and finding my current pen name, my actual name, and most pen name options related to my name as it is are related to porn, lesbian romance fiction, and/or is already a well-established author.
I find this funny, and also upsetting.
I will be making the switch over the next month to the new pen name of...

Anabella
I am excited to present to you the fifth installment of Xander’s Adventure, Anabella. The story takes kind of a darker turn in this piece, and I hope you all enjoy it. If you haven’t read any of the previous installments, you can find them here. Enjoy!
Anabella
Xander blinked rapidly, hoping to see Indriel in front of him once more. But just as he’d appeared from thin air earlier, the elf was gone. Xander saw Max lower his gun, and watched his friend’s head whipping back and forth, searching...
Rebranding
If you follow me at all, do me a favor. In your browser, open a new tab, and google “K. E. Lane”. Have a look at what comes up.
I am not a lesbian romance novelist from Colorado, and though I haven’t published any books yet, I don’t know that I want my name forever associated with another author’s name, especially one who writes so far out of my genre. Not that I have anything against lesbians or lesbian romance novels, because to be clear I don’t. But it would be nice if people would stop co...
Checking In
No preamble here, it’s been a busy and grating week. My internet sucks, and I just enrolled my child in hourly daycare so I can drop him off once a week to get some serious writing and editing done.
I have only gotten around to three blogs – I will tackle the rest tomorrow, and I should have an easier time. (Kiddo interruptions have made it difficult.) I have finished this week’s story installment and it’s on the editing block for this afternoon. My AIW Press blog is also on the editing bloc...July 11, 2017
Book Review – Turn Back Time by Stacy Claflin
This week I had the opportunity to read Turn Back Time by Stacy Claflin, Book #2 in the Alex Mercer Thriller Series
A dangerous cult disbanded years ago. Now they’re back, and they want revenge.
Alex Mercer spends his spare time operating a blog for missing children—a pastime inspired by his daughter’s recent disappearance. Another relative goes missing. As he follows up on leads coming into his site, the police department is inundated with a rash of missing persons cases. The incidents seem...

Monday Musings – The Non-Eventful Edition
Good day, reader! It’s been a week, but it feels like it’s only been a few hours. Last week, with the traveling I did, managed to sneak past me with no regard for my sense of time. Consequently, I had no time to get anything done. Is anyone shocked? I’m not.
I don’t particularly like the desert, but I am so glad to be home with my husband. I always enjoy seeing my family, and frankly, being anywhere the landscape is more than just brown on brown. Greenery makes me more calm in general, though...

Monday Musings – 4th of July Edition
Tomorrow is the 4th of July, and I will be spending it with family. Not my husband, which sucks, but the rest of my family. (Allow me to clarify that I am sad my husband cannot also be there, but happy to see my family, before someone takes my statement and runs with it in the wrong direction.)
This week will definitely be light on or void of writing, which is alright, because last week was a productive one in the writing department. For the end of June, I finished my anthology short story su...
