Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

Matt Geiger Perhaps I'm stretching the meaning of "fictional" here, but it would have to be Karl Ove and Linda in "My Struggle: Book 2."

David Sedaris and Hugh aren't fictional, but they are probably my favorite couple to appear as characters in a book. (Well, books.)

Also, I'm currently reading "Resurrection" by Tolstoy, and the Nekhlyudov/Maislova relationship is pretty amazing in that tragic, moralistic, theological Tolstoyan way. (less)
