The sequel to "Deep Shadow" on the way!
Last year was a busy one, but at last I've got a new book on the way, slated for May 1 at earliest, June 1 at latest. Boone and Emily's adventures will continue! Stay tuned for more.
And, y'know what... here's a test... if you read and posted a Goodreads review for Deep Shadow and would like an ARC copy of the next book, shoot me a message. I'm curious how many folks read these things ;)
In other news, if you want to see an author on your television screen, I'll be appearing in FX's series "Fosse/Verdon" with Sam Rockwell... and "Orange is the New Black" on Netflix.

A summer of divin' and writin'.
After some summer narrating for a number of audiobooks for such authors as Steve Hamilton, Mercedes Lackey, and Ian Douglas... I'm back on track with my own writing. I visited the Dutch Caribbean island of Saba for some diving and research. The next book will be set on this mountain in the ocean.
And if that wasn't enough, I'm excited to be returning to Bonaire to spend a week of intense writing for the "Deep Shadow" sequel. It turns out, a writer friend of mine knows a writer there and she has a new B&B... and it's a mere stone's throw from where I placed my fictional Bonaire dive shop, Rock Beauty Divers! What are the odds? I'll be posting some photos while I'm there... and in the meantime, check out my Author FB page for some photos from the Saba trip:

Deep Shadow sequel!
With the success of Deep Shadow I'm going to plunge ahead with the sequel. Zombie Bigfoot fans, I'm about a third of the way done with that sequel, so I'll get back on that horse... but this June... I'm going to Saba!
If you've read Deep Shadow, you know Saba figures into it... and the next book will begin there. It's been ages since I've been to "The Unspoiled Queen" and I feel like I barely got to see it, so it's going to be great when I and two of my dive buddies head there for a little reconnaissance.

My next book lands May 1!
It's been a busy few months... Nick the Narrator had the privilege of narrating Robert McCammon's "Stinger" and "Mystery Walk"... Chris Offut's "Country Dark", Kevin J Anderson/Sarah Hoyt's "Uncharted", and several more.
My new book is in the final formatting stages and the audiobook has been recorded. Stay tuned!

Book 2 moving along!
Juggling narrating and acting gigs with my writing schedule delayed the sequel to Zombie Bigfoot but it's back on track and is shaping up to be a beast! (in a good way)
If you missed Book 1, head on over to http://zombiebigfoot.com
In other news, I'll be traveling back to Tennessee for a little eclipse action and then I'll be narrating Wayne Stinnett's latest book!

Narration work
I've begun recording Dark Mind, Book Seven in Ian Douglas's Star Carrier series. Wonderfully inventive, as always! Speaking of wormholes and alternate universes... three occurences of "Dark Mind" ended up on my author page and they showed up right after I downloaded and opened the PDF on my laptop, studio computer, and little tablet I use to prepare the narration. Did Goodreads "know"?
In any event, I probably ought to create a dedicated Narrator page. I was told that I should "claim" all of my narrated books on my Author page as it is part of my history, but the system appears to think of me as a sub-author (even if it says "Narrator" or "Reading") and that seems a bit wonky.

Zombie Bigfoot #1 in Horror Comedy
I ain't there now, but for a while Zombie Bigfoot cavorted through the Amazon Woods and made the 'Bestseller' designation.
A friend asked me what my writing style was. After some humming and hawing I came up with something. It amused him enough that he suggested I "post that somewhere". So, that 'somewhere'... is here.
Writing style: It's like Michael Crichton and Carl Hiaasen are hanging out at a campfire, drinking beers and talking writing... but Stephen King sneaks over from an adjacent camp and starts throwing pine cones from the treeline and making spooky noises. Preston & Childs yell at them to keep it down, they're trying to sleep. Then you learn the whole thing is being filmed by Sam Raimi.

Review from Brian's Book Blog
A wonderful review from a Blog that specialized in audiobook reviews for the horror, science fiction, fantasy, and adventure genres. (and the lead blogger is ALSO a craft beer reviewer, be still my heart. And liver.) Like beer? Look for Beer God Blog. "Zombie Bigfoot" pairs well with beer, particularly a good DIPA.
