I know it seems counter intuitive - shouldn't I be thinking about the project I'm stuck on? - but I've found that obsessing over something makes me less likely to actually get anywhere with it. Whereas if I work on something else for a day or two, it loosens me up and suddenly I'll have another idea.(less)
