the moral of the story is that sometimes it's the politicians who are the most evil among us.

outrageously good, and brilliantly political, and frighteningly relevant. the darkest entry in the series thus far, but it has a whole lot to say.

re-reading because book 4 is finally out in the world - just as wonderful (Wunder-ful!) as the first time I read it way back in 2017. Magical and scary and full of charm and bravery.
