Rachel graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado, and was commissioned into the Navy Nurse corps through NROTC. She served 6 years as a Navy nurse in San Diego CA and Naples Italy. Rachel decided to go after her childhood dream of being a children's writer when she lived and traveled in Europe.

She currently lives in Anacortes WA with Keith and their 2 daughters, and continues working as a L&D nurse while pursuing her Masters of Science in Marketing. She loves travel, coffee and of course adventure!
