It is funny how inspiration and writing comes in waves for me. One day the words can flow so freely, making me so excited to write more and more, then suddenly when I sit down to write again another day, an nothing. I have found that with me personally, I have to designate a time for writing, and I really have to have quiet around me. Since that rarely happens in my household of a husband and three children, my designated quiet time is Sunday morning about 6:30-7:30. I may not get far in that short time, but I do feel my brain is geared to think, "ok it's time to work", and I move past what has been blocking my thoughts.(less)

Hitchin Post/Julie Barker, Author - I had the opportunity to illustrate this cute story of a little jack rabbit and the things he learned about life while living on a ranch. It is a great story and lesson about life for children of all ages.
