AGATHA FROST, an Amazon bestselling author, has written over thirty mystery novels. She lives in the North West English county of Lancashire with her two cuddly beagles and one cat.

When Agatha isn’t writing, she loves reading head-scratching mysteries and thrillers, coffee, baking, and exploring her local countryside on long dog walks.

From a young age, Agatha devoured the great British murder mystery books and television shows, ample inspiration for her Peridale Café and Claire’s Candles series. She loves writing about family women who juggle their ordinary village lives with the challenges of amateur sleuthing.

Add in some good food, close friends and family, cute pets, and plenty of twists and turns, and you have a classic Agatha Frost mys

The Real Life Inspiration Behind The Meadowfield Mysteries Series (and why this British village's surprising past makes it the perfect cosy village)

The Last Draft by Agatha Frost book cover

One of the questions I get asked the most as a writer is, "Where do you get your ideas?" More often than not, this question spooks us sensitive writers because if you're paying attention, you really can pull a story from anything. A snatch of a conversation, a news headline, a person you notice across the supermarket all make up the ingredients for the story soup. But for the Meadowfield Mysteries

“Humans are a beautiful contradiction. We're impossibly fragile, and yet stronger than we will ever realize. We have lived through wars, disasters, riots, and storms, death and murder, and some of us have even lived through cults. It would be easy to give up and hold our hands up in defeat to the universe, but it is in the struggles that we learn who we are and what our purposes are.”
