Snag A Fish
It's summer. Go fishing. And if you don't like the idea of squirmy cold bass, how about snagging me as a @GoodReads friend? I'm much nicer than any old trout and I talk books, book news, book reviews, and well, books with friends. Be my friend? Like my page? Let's stay connected.

It's Lone Star Literary Blog Tour Time!
Comfort Songs has been sitting on the Too-Be-Read stacks for Lone Star Literary bloggers this month, and the reviews are about to roll out. Am I nervous? Of course.
I value the time a blogger invests in my book, and I know that they'll give an honest review. And that's what authors are seeking--even if the feedback is painful.
That's the biggest risk few discuss in book world--that some books fail to resonate with readers. I'm one of those authors that seeks to entertain readers, so finding out if the plot, pacing, and characters live up to their expectations is paramount. The proof of that ... reviews.
So, my nails may be bit frayed these next two weeks as I wait for the posts on GoodReads, Amazon, FB, Twitter, and my author page, Kimberly Fish, author; but the analysis will be priceless.
Hope you'll take a risk on new authors too. There's so much power and freshness on the market these days, and it's my hope that good books rise to the top--maybe it will be yours.

Book Tour for Comfort Foods
This is going to be a fun week! Tomorrow, Lone Star Literary Bloggers are taking my new novel, Comfort Foods, on a book tour around the state and revealing their reviews and features about the book to their subscribers and other bookish folks. It's always nervy waiting on the verdict of reviewers with a history of reading some really excellent books, and wondering how mine will compare. This contemporary, sweet, second chances story is full of unforgettable characters, fast-paced dialogue, social media upheavals that twist the plot, and tons of virtual calories. I'll have the posts shared to my Kimberly Fish, author page on Face Book and the reviews will go up soon afterwards.
I'm offering a FREE book GIVEAWAY on this book tour including a signed copy of my novel, Comfort Foods, and a gift copy of Ina Garten's newest cookbook, Modern Comfort Foods--doesn't that sound like a delicious pairing? You can enter the giveaway through any of the review posts that will go up daily at Lone Star Literary and my FB page through January 21st.

Comfort Zone Wins GOLD!
Wow, to open an email and discover that my new release, Comfort Zone, picked up a GOLD AWARD from Literary Titan is the way I like to end a Sunday. With their wonderful list of books read, I'm honored to accept this award for a new beginings/sweet second chance story that takes readers through the Texas Hill Country, San Antonio, and right to a do-or-die end zone finish.
Thank you to curators of books at Literary Titan!
