Hey you guys, my name is Tiffany Dionne Kelly — Tiffany Dionne is my pen name, and from the time I was in the second grade I knew I going to be great. My plan was to put my long legs to use by becoming an Olympic track star, but my brother told me that track and field wasn’t a real career. (I’m still mad at him for killing my dream). I told him that since I couldn’t “run” for a living, I’d work at my favorite place to eat in the world.

My brother laughed at me and my dad told me that working at McDonalds wasn’t an option as long as he lived on God’s green earth. I was crushed, but I still knew I would be great.

What I didn’t know was that tragedy would hit. I didn’t know I’d be kidnapped, raped, abused or enter the sex industry. My debut book, Restore: A Lost Girl’s Journey to Hope, the first book in my three part memoir will tell you how it all started. What I want you to know is that today greatness is exploding, not only in my life, but all around me.

I’m a Survivor Advocate for women and kids who have been affected by sexual assault, domestic violence, and sexual exploitation.

I get to mentor others who have been through the same things as me.

My superpower is telling stories that make people laugh and cry and see their own lives through the lens of my pain. Stories that put you in my shoes and make you feel like you can overcome the past. My strength doesn’t come from kryptonite like Superman, it comes from God. Trust me, I didn’t always know Him, which makes the stories that much better.

I didn’t become a track star, but I never gave up and I found my way to be great. I’m a writer, a speaker, motivator, and hope bringer. You might not know it yet, but you are too. I changed for the better and my goal is to spark a fire in others, to let them know that they can overcome the obstacles that have held them back and move on to greatness.
