Harsha left behind his flourishing career as a software engineer in his mid-twenties, and became a dedicated spiritual seeker.

He spent a decade of intense struggle doing spiritual practices and austerities in the raw conditions of Himalayas.

Along with it, he learned the original Sanskrit scriptures of Indian Philosophy in a traditional monastery.

He currently teaches various systems of Indian philosophy, and guides spiritual seekers. His interactive lectures on spirituality and self-realization are well received among his students across various countries.

He has traveled to countries like Russia, Nepal and India to deliver interactive discourses on spirituality and self-realization.

My most recent book is 'Ashtavakra Gita : The Ultimate Solace'.
I was a spiritual seeker and I had left a luxurious life of a software engineer in search of the God. The burning quest within me had made me wander all over India, particularly in the Himalayas, and follow a variety of spiritual practices and austerities. My quest was nearing its completion when I studied the different systems of philosophies in a traditional way. After that when I got to read and understand the 'Ashtavakra Gita', I just felt that this is the most ultimate and complete set of pearls of spiritual wisdom which can give a permanent solace and satisfaction to the readers and it has a potential to address all the burning questions in a seekers mind. Hence I took to translate it in english and also wrote a commentary to address some of the intricacies involved in the journey of spiritual enlightenment.(less)

HOPE AND PEACE

By Milie Sharma

Two beautiful words, simple, short and yet very reassuring. I live moment by moment through these two words. Life is quiet exciting, every day and every moment if you really notice. Life is an adventurous invite which we receive in the form that comes as excitements, sorrows, pain, love, hate, anger, impulsion, and calm, composed temperament. Amidst all this, there i

“What is this power of words? In our everyday routine, we use words to carry out all our transactions. If someone praises us then we get happy and if someone criticizes us then we get annoyed. If we take a closer look at this phenomenon then we will easily understand that when somebody is praising us or calling us names, that time no material comes and hits us. All that happens is, we just get to hear the sound of the words uttered by the other person. When that sound reaches our ears, our mind starts analyzing and interpreting that sound. If the interpretation given by the mind is positive then we get happy. If the interpretation given by the mind is negative then we get annoyed. It is true that the meaning of those words is already present in our mind. Words only invoke the meaning already present in our mind. This relationship between words and their meanings is known as ‘Shakti’ (power) in philosophy.”
Harsha Yardi, Ashtavakra Gita: The Ultimate Solace

“We are addicted to experience and take memories as real. In reality, what is remembered is never real. The real is Now.”

“The goal of spirituality is total and permanent freedom from psychological sorrows and sufferings. This is only possible when we will stop taking birth as individuals again and again.
What makes us an ‘Individual’? The ignorance.
What kind of ignorance? Our idea about our self that ‘I am an individual’.”
