A quick look at one of Doug Potter’s “alternate takes” on “Max Random” signage, to celebrate the latest five star review, over a weekend where it sojourned in zombie fiction’s “Top 50″ for awhile….

New “Across the Pond” column up at https://britishcinematographer.co.uk/future-proofing/: One last reflection on Cine Gear, RED Digital’s little apocalypses, Marvel’s “Cloak & Dagger,” and at least one familiar mugshot.

In the words of pod-master @JerryKnaak: “It’s raw, it’s loud, we were half drunk by the end of it and the damn trains kept interrupting us, but Samantha Heuwagen, Mark London Williams and I had a great time creating this Get the Knaak podcast. Join us as we chat about books, tomorrow’s panel discussion at SF Comic Con, politics, storytelling and so much more.”

We’re in the midst of a tour through “Two Trickster Tango,” since it’s a tale of Elijah & Coyote, and what with Passover here, we’re in that “Elijah time of year,” que no?
In the first pic, up top, master of disguise Elijah is somewhere around Lodz, disguised as a guard, and letting in some peasants through a back door to get something to eat at a duke’s castle. Coyote is hightailing out to California, and eventually writes Elijah, who picks up the mail at a letter drop in a synagogue basement, tended by a #golem.

Ol’ Eli will be invited west by Coyote, and with war brewing in Europe, he considers the offer.
More coming soon, but really, this is mostly to show off Doug Potter’s great art…

May there be light in your holidays, and all through the New Year. (And may there be more great Doug Potter art like this!)
