Jane Golden once yearned for a career as a foreign journalist, but law school was a far more practical plan for an English and political science major. After leaving a successful legal career to accompany her diplomat husband to Bucharest, Romania, Golden took advantage of her extensive travels in Eastern Europe to foster friendships, journal, and ultimately write mysteries. She currently resides in D’Iberville, Mississippi.

But several years ago I had the amazing opportunity to live in Romania. After my time there, I began to realize that there were no books of quality substance which clearly showed the beauty of Romania. Rather, they were books with a dark and dreary vampire image. So I sat down to write a book that would be authentic in portaying the people and culture of Romania, yet one that would also be entertaining and light-hearted. My books are travel mysteries, and I'm currently working on a third book and writing a blog (stay tuned!). (less)
