TJ’s love of fantasy and writing began when she discovered myths and legends at an early age. At school, she was enthralled by the tales of gods and heroes of different cultures and grew up wanting to be Xena: Warrior Princess. In her teen years, she discovered Christopher Paolini’s Inheritance Cycle, which only fuelled her desire to write and create new worlds more interesting than her own.

But life soon took over and TJ trained for a ‘proper job’ as a teacher. She has been teaching for ten years now but has never turned her back on writing.
