Calling All Betas!

Hi Everyone!

I am almost finished with my first draft!

I am heading overseas for two weeks next week and when I come back I will be polishing my draft off for publishers. In the meantime, I am going to be looking for some beta readers to give me some very important feedback on the book!

If you’re interested in becoming a beta reader for me, please visit my contact page, and send me a message including the following:

Your Name

Your Age

Where you live

Three YA books you’ve read and loved

Why you want to beta my novel

A link to your blog or Instagram

I am ideally looking for readers in a 15-23 age range, who love YA novels along the lines of All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven, Our Chemical Hearts by Krystal Sutherland, My Heart and Other Black Holes by Jasmine Wanga

Process

I’ve never actually had a writing process before. Instead, I’ve constantly started, stopped, come back to, and never finished a huge amount of projects. There were three major projects I was working on as an aspiring writer, that to this day (almost two decades later) still may never see the light of day.

The reason this book feels different is mainly due to one reason. One thing that sets it apart from everything else:

I know how it ends.

I’ve never really had a clear view of my story’s path before. I’ve always had a rough idea of where I want it to go, and maybe end up; and a fairly good grasp on my characters, but I’ve never really known exactly what was going to happen before.

Caw started out as a strange dream, when I woke up, I wrote it down. And then over time, I fleshed it out some more.Having an actual plan that I could follow made all the difference. It gave me guidance and purpose.

And now here I am, a few months later, with a first draft that’s a third complete. I still have a fair way to go, but progress is not so slow these days, and I’m really hoping it’s gonna make it out there to all of you soon.
