From I've Got You, releasing May 23, book six, a stand-alone in the Small Town Bachelor Romance series!
She looks me up and down and nods but I can’t tell if it’s with approval or not.
“You like what you see?”
“On the outside. And I already know that 'Beauty and the Beast' registers high in your pop culture appreciation, so there’s a chance I won’t run right out the door of this gym,” she says.
I can't help but tease her a little. “Yeah, but we both know you don’t like to run.”
“You gonna chase me if I do, Lane Myer?”
“I might.”
The way she arches an eyebrow at me would make a weaker man shrivel up and die. “See to it that you don’t make me want to run," she says.

Whoo-hoo! I've Got You, due out May 23, is now in revisions and will be getting the final proofread in the next day or two. Arcs go out SUNDAY!

“Of course you and I are good,” she says, and then with a wicked smile that could only come from a daughter who belongs to me, she turns to Jed. “Are you my new daddy?”
There’s groaning, there’s laughter, and then finally Jed has to interrupt and square my shoulders with the stage.
“Now for the real surprise,” he says in my ear, giving me a squeeze.
I can’t imagine what he’s got planned, but then my brain, my mind, my soul, my spirit and the air in my lungs go bye-bye, because on the stage—somehow on my little rinky-dink stage in my teeny little artist colony town—is…her.
“Um, that’s…no way. No. Way.” Jed laughs and hugs me from behind.
"Way.” I open my mouth to make a sound but nothing comes out.
