Robert Childs was born in Illinois and is an avid sword fighting enthusiast with bachelors degrees in Japanese Language and Geology and a masters in Military Arts & Science. He specializes in rapier swordplay, actively teaching and competing since 1987 both in the US and abroad. Mostly recently he brought home the silver medal as the North American representative in single rapier combat. His book "Fourth Power" is the sequel to his debut novel "Third Power" in an ongoing series in the sword and sorcery genre. I have sent out some test copies to early reviewers already and so far the reactions have been enthusiastic across the board. I believe fans of the series are going to enjoy this story even more than the previous.(less)

I am diligently at work on the sequel titled "Fourth Power" nearly every day and I am aiming for a finish date of the end of November/beginning of December timeframe. Once the back and forth with the editor is done (got to be a polished work, after all) it will likely reach release this January.(less)
