My review of this book will be a little biased because it falls completely under my favorite genre of books to read, which is “war stories”, especially WWII; but also because I have recently been to Saint-Malo, where a big chunk of the story happens, so I could really imagine it in my head, which added an even more realistic aspect to the read.
