ART ON THE UPPER WEST SIDE

Do you live on the Upper West Side?

If you do, you might like to know about a place where art is displayed for all to see.

And if you are old enough to remember the Kiosks that announced news or the movies which played in the neighborhood —- then the kiosk, located on 83rd street just off Broadway, not only recalls the past, but today shows you the work of artist living in neighborhood.

“How old is Old? It is interesting how, as we advance in years, we push the boundaries of what we consider "old age."
"I am so depressed." my friend Irma told me the other day.
When I asked why, she put her hands up in despair and answered, "I am turning thirty next week. I never thought I would get there."
No, none of us ever thinks that we will get "there."
What? Becoming thirty or forty or fifty? Or even older? No way! That happens to others - not me! But as the years pile up, you'll find yourself kicking the idea of "old" farther and farther down the road.”

Brigitte Nioche Paperback Verified Purchase
I admire Brigitte’s positive attitude towards life. I am certain that if we - the aging women - follow her advice, it will help us to forget about our wrinkles, gray hair, and aging bodies. However, this does not mean that she suggests for us to let ourselves go. On the contrary, the author teaches ways and techniques by which women can look and feel younger and more glamorous. The other important factor she stresses upon is to keep active and be helpful to others, especially the needy, which in turn, will help us feel happy and positive towards life. I assure you that, we women of certain age, not only will love reading “Getting Over Growing Older,” but will definitely benefit from Brigitte’s useful advice about things to do for staying positive, feeling young, beautiful, and healthy. I highly recommend this charming and entertaining book.
