Fulfilled by Fremonsters
Fremonsters Release Event – Rutherford B. Hayes Museum Auditorium (2021)I recently had a book release that was my most successful yet. I had over hundred people jam pack into a little museum auditorium and sold over 120 copies of my book for the release day event. At 7 months pregnant, I don’t think I was fully prepared for the amount of work I ended up putting in to pull off the Fremonsters release.
And believe me, It took a lot of work!
But it also took a lot of help. There were s...

2020 silver lining
I haven’t posted on this blog since December of 2019…
I’m sure it’s not surprising that 2020 has been a rollercoaster of a year for me. With nothing of note to write about in a blog, or even any motivation TO write, I’ve been completely unproductive through the few months where I’ve had the most free time of my adult life. That’s an unfortunate circumstance for an author to find themselves in. But I knew there was a serious problem when I couldn’t sit down and even READ a book. I’ve read 2-3...

A nice facelift
For the website, that is!
I’ve updated my website to include the fact that I am now a children’s book author!
Over the last 5 years, I’ve released 3 novels (to complete a trilogy), a novelette, and a children’s book. 5 BOOKS! It’s so insane, but it feels great!
While I always loved writing in my journal when I was in 3rd grade (yes, I still have it) and our 3-week story assignments in Mr. Rose’s 7th-grade class, I never would have guessed that this would be possible for me! And now, I have 3...

Making my dog famous
The children’s book is complete!
It goes on sale this week, just in time for Christmas shopping. I don’t think I realized how many of my friends have small children until I started telling them about this book. Originally, the idea began as a present for my nieces and nephew, but as the book took shape, I really have come to love the story and the illustrations. So why not publish it?
And my dog, Brutus, gets to become famous in the meantime!
So without further ado, here is my latest book:

Pitfalls of a children’s book
I recently posted that I was trying out a new idea by creating a children’s book as a present for my nieces and nephew. Little did I know the pitfalls involved with such a feat! Let me start by saying that while I plan to put this book up for sale on my Amazon account, I don’t consider myself a children’s book author, so this might just be a one (hopefully) hit wonder. That being said, hiring a professional illustrator for a children’s book can be quite an expensive and exhausting ordeal. I h...

Trying something new
It’s been a while…
I’ve hit a roadblock for quite some time now, while working on my newest fantasy novel. This summer has kept me busy at work, and in my free time rendered me useless in the writing department. But I have made progress on another project! And technically, it has to do with writing, though it’s outside my comfort zone of my normal scope or genre.
I’ve written a children’s book.
Yep. A silly rhyming picture book. And I love it! It’s a gift in progress that I plan to present to...

Bookworm hibernation
I’ve just realized I haven’t written in two months. These first few months of 2019 have been wonderful and hectic. I have to admit my writing has taken the back burner, and I’ve been losing myself in reading and immensely enjoying a few choice books. I don’t consider this a waste of my writing time, but as way to help develop my skills. I really feel like my next book will have a better recipe, thrown together by more practiced hands that have been working to develop my voice and version of a...

Starting off 2019
This year has really jump started with a couple of twists. My day job as an air traffic controller for the federal government has taken over my attention with vigor due the government shutdown and other stresses, and therefore I haven’t even written one word in this new year. But that’s okay!
Taking time for yourself is a must!
I think a little time off was in order, and now I’ll be ready to dive back in to my newest project in the next few weeks. During my last book release, I held a conte...

19 is my lucky number!
It’s been a busy few weeks with Christmas, the book release, my first book signing, and New Year’s all jammed into one week. I had such a wonderful time with friends and family celebrating and I was humbled by the turnout at the book signing party. I actually sold out of all copies on hand of my 2nd and 3rd books, selling over 35 copies in the night. It was awesome! And the response online has been pretty positive too. Now I’ll be interested to see how readers will like the conclusion of the...

The countdown begins!
As 2018 draws to a close, so does the Statera Saga with the release of my final book in the series: Providence. You might notice I’ve been pretty quiet leading up to this release. It’s bittersweet to see this story end. It’s near and dear to my heart for many different reasons, and I can only hope I’m doing the story justice in the end.
2014 is when I started writing Reminiscence. Well, technically I wrote a chapter back in 2004, but it never panned out. Back in 2014, I’d taken a blow to my p...
