Chase Taylor Hackett was raised on a farm in the Midwest – far from his current home in New York City. His first novel—WHERE DO I START?— was published by Kensington Books.
While working on that book, he realized he had a character who was a total jerk, and he wondered what would happen if the jerk met a guy who had zero tolerance for jerks.

AND THE NEXT THING YOU KNOW… he’d written another novel, also available from Kensington, and pretty much everywhere else.

Chase lives in Manhattan with his partner Travis.

I had no idea if I could actually do that, but 261 pages later, ta-da!, I did and it's called WHERE DO I START?
With AND THE NEXT THING YOU KNOW..., I had a character who was a total asshole, and I wondered what would happen if he met someone with no patience for assholinity. Assholedness. Something like that. You pick.
I wasn't thinking it at the time, but looking back, both books would seem to be redemption stories. Not sure what that says about me as a person. Not sure I want to know either.

Gay Ghost Story Recommendation?

I'm looking for a good ghost story--novel-length, please, and preferably gay.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance,

Part ghost story, part mystery, but mostly a gentle, sweet, occasionally violent portrayal of a time (1965) in small town America.

A truly beautiful book.

I'm not going to review this because it's not a complete book, it's not the first book in a series, it's just the first chunk of one. It essentially ends with ready--set-- and you're expected to buy another book.
