I suppose when you write about history, there is always something new to add, so writer's block doesn't become much of a problem. I think writing just one book makes one feel legitimate. It is like playing one NHL game or recording one unsuccessful album; it's something not everyone will be able to do in their lifetime, but it's an accomplishment nonetheless. Like playing one game in the pros, writing a book is something you can put on your resume that few other people can. Seeing your work in an honest-to-goodness book, as opposed to a pdf file or a bunch of paragraphs printed from home, is really cool also.(less)
