I have an outline for at least 7 books or so, but more importantly the first draft of book three is done.

I was working on it while a different book, a fantasy, was with my editor, and had to pause a bit once the edits came back.

Now that Keepers of the Wind is out as of last week book three (Called Running Black unless something happens between now and publication) is back to the top of the list and I hope to have it out within the first half of 2021. After that I am tentatively planning on doing book 4 before doing anything else in my other settings.(less)

Art often sparks bits of story for me, but this one got me thinking more and more, and before I knew it I had an entire story for a superhero adventure.

How it ended up being romance is, however, another story.

great adventure, great chemistry

The cover tells you exactly what to expect from this book, but only part of it. There is also a great adventure tale here, with a fascinating setting that is at the same time very grounded in hard science and incredibl

“Il meglio è l'inimico del bene." Those words are well over a thousand years old, in a language I don’t even speak, and yet they speak to me more profoundly than most of what the supposed wise spout on the regular down there in the public square. The perfect is the enemy of the good. Confused? That’s okay. The meaning took me some time to understand. Striving for perfection, to improve ourselves, understanding we will never get there in this life, that is a good thing. Giving up on good things because we want perfect things, which, again, we won’t get in this life? That is the height of folly.”
J.M. Anjewierden, Running Black

“What are we? As humans, I mean. Are we the sum of our parts, merely some trillions of cells acting out the directives of our DNA? Are we a spirit, an immortal being temporarily inhabiting those trillions of cells? Or perhaps, we are both, and the sum of our parts – infinite and finite – is far greater than that of either alone.”
J.M. Anjewierden, Running Black
