TWO STATES REVISITED in CEG
Every story has a beginning, but some stories never have their end. This excerpt can perfectly describe this CEG Love story which can be related to TWO STATES (gender reversed in connection to their natives) at places.‘You fall in LOVE with the most Unexpected Person at the most unexpected time’.
It goes without saying that college is a great place to get an education. However, this couple reminds me that college can be about more than just going to class and studying: It is also a life-altering experience. The benches in SnH have already given me many lovable stories for this blog. Now I have another one in my memories suitcase since the narrator sat there around 7 PM to express her love.
His not-bad pick-up line, “I heard people exclaiming about a pretty fresher within the department. I tried searching you during Fresher’s Day and Inauguration. Luck gave me thumbs down”, ‘This is how he tried to meet me initially’, she smiled till the cheekbones hurt. ‘It was on the last day of the symposium. He was hosting the informal session. My eyes slowly started to admire the way he spoke and the way he smiled. This moment I realise that when I had described my type of guy, I had actually described him unknowingly.
I tried to get his name without my friends noticing it, which was printed on his collar but it went in vain, since only half was visible. Then he suddenly called me to dance for a song. With mic in hand, guys do all kind of atrocities in the informal stages. Since I was already bored I just went and danced a little. After that we didn’t have any source of contact. Though sometimes when I used to be alone I used to imagine what it would be like if I talk to him. The stereotype that girls should not start conversations stopped me from doing it. Yes of course I came to know his name later. But I still didn’t gain the guts to text him. It was on the Tamil New Year when I had no work in connection to the festival, I unconditionally wanted to talk to him that I took his number from common department group and texted him ‘Are you the 4th year, XXX?’ I asked it because I just did not want him to know that I waited so long to talk to him. He felt both surprised and shocked to receive a message from me. Our texts became more frequent from then. Now a days, the cutest love stories start with tons of whatsapp texts. He rarely started the conversation, that’s when I texted him more, leaving all ego. We both shared every day happening and as he knew that I love to go for bike rides ,one fine day he took me for a bike ride on one in his friend’s bike followed by a dinner night at the roof top restaurant.
When we were getting so close, he shifted to another state for his work. The summer holidays followed. I thought that we would stop talking, but that’s when we even started talking more and got to know each other much better. The entire hours with him went really pleasant. When he looks at me and smiles, my eyes were not ready to miss a single look of him. During one of my assessments when I was immensely bored and had no one to talk to, I asked him to call me which went on till 4AM in the morning. He slowly started to open up about his personal life. I started feeling that he gave me more importance and rights to his life. Every single step of improvement in our relationship hierarchy made us discover that we are more than just friends. We started to meet often and go out for lunch and dinner. He always got me a chocolate whenever he met me and called me his lucky charm.
During the pooja holidays when I went back home, I suffered from Dengue fever. Later I learnt that he freaked out, didn’t sleep and eat properly and prayed that I should recover soon. So much love he had for me, though it was not confessed. The path between discovering the love and confessing it is when feelings and love for each other is at its peak’, she paused for a moment. ‘He would come here two times a month and take me out. He gifted me a beautiful white top for my birthday as his favourite colour was white. It was during diwali time when I went home and his sister’s marriage was on the next day, he spoke with me throughout the night even though he had his sister marriage work the following day dawn. When your guy starts forgetting his responsibilities when he is with you, without any second thought, he is the man for you from heaven. This is when we both confessed that we liked each other a lot. But we were scared to propose each other thinking about our future and fearing if those three words would destroy our friendship. At that time I came to Chennai airport and got stuck there due to the December flood. He panicked and worried a lot about my safety. Aftermath of the flood made him realize the intense love he had for me and proposed me. I was in confusion, afraid that what future could bring to us. With a rough heart, I said no to him. He proposed me again during the month of January, my reply was no again, worrying about our family background this time. Then he told me firmly, that the day I get a ride on his own bike, I will be his girlfriend. March 11’ she paused ‘It was the day, when my senses dilated, I went for the bike ride with him indirectly confessing my YES to him. Since then we have had lot of fights. I am little short tempered, but he understands me and takes care of me like his own kid. Yeah he usually mentions that I am a kid’, she giggled.
Love is not about being inseparable, it’s about being separated and nothing changes. Love is not about finding a person with the same character; it’s about knowing the differences better. This CEG love story proved it in reality. Wishing them a great life together..!

Life of A Representative - A Unique Shadow
Disclaimer: This story is not to hurt anybody's feeling. Its just an expressive way of tribute to Representatives with the hope that the readers will understand the real meaning behind it and try to be a better person.
There is a very famous saying in Geetacharam ‘Do your job without any expectations – Kadamaiyai Sei, Palanai Ethir Paarkathey’.Do your duty and a little more so that the future will take care of itself. This blog is devoted to the selfless duties of a representative who is among us, performing something better than us.
It was a pleasant Wednesday morning.‘Rohan where is the board marker?’ The professor asked the class representative. Rohan was sitting in the middle of a bench. Startled, he rose from his bench, pushing his friends on the side to come out of the bench. ‘Mam, I will get it from the office room’ then he ran to the office room and brought the marker. Little he had settled in his place, ‘Rohan, switch on the projector’ came another call. With a smile on his face he came out of his bench switched on the CPU, then the projector, adjusted it to fit to correct legibility and gave the controls to the professor. He was back in his place. Being representative makes any person to be attentive in class hours since they have to maintain their reputation. He started taking the notes. Soon class got over and everyone started to leave for their lunch. ‘Rohan’ again the call came.‘Yes mam’‘Please carry these assignments to my room’‘Sure mam’Slowly he put on his back bag and then carried the assignments to the professor’s room.‘Wait’ The professor checked the attendance sheet.‘Raj doesn’t have enough attendance please ask him to meet me in person’‘Sure mam’ Then he thanked and left the place. He took his phone as soon as he came out of the cabin and dialled Raj’s phone number.‘Hello’ his voice heard‘Hello, macha this is Rohan. You have low attendance in xxx subject. Mam asked you to meet her in person as soon as possible.‘What! I thought you are giving me regular proxy. Why are you even the representative then?’ came a harsh reply.‘Macha I am sorry. I was not able to put proxy for this subject as she is very keen on marking proper percentage of attendance’‘Ok I will take care’ The call went off abruptly.
Vexed, he began to climb down the stairs of the department to go for his lunch. The moment he stepped out of the department he remembered something Oh! I should get permission from HOD to go for Industrial visit next week. He retraced his steps to the office. HOD was busy with his works. He waited there for a few long minutes. When HOD was finally free, he called him in.‘What do you want?’‘Sir, next week we are planning to go for an industrial visit to the YYY plant. So I came to get permission for it sir. This is the formal request letter. On your confirmation we’ll mail the officials and proceed with other works’ He handed the permission letter. HOD, who was writing something important, raised his head and stared at him.‘Do you know what happened when your seniors went for industrial visit to this plant last time? They spoiled our reputation.’ Then it was followed by Rohan inadvertently being scolded for last year’s incidents. ‘The letter is not proper. Where is the faculty advisor’s signature? Who has agreed to accompany you? The last paragraph is not justified’, the HoD listed out all possible errors amidst his busy work. Rohan on his part had to assure that this batch won’t be a trouble and he would be responsible for any inconvenience. His talk was bold and convincing, so the HOD signed the letter and immediately mailed the necessary officials from his mail ID. He left with the immense happiness of having achieved something great. Friends will be glad for this. He came out of the cabin and climbed down the stairs to see his friends climbing up already. That’s when he checked the time 1:10 PM. The 5th hour was about to start. Fooling himself that the happiness of getting permission for IV had filled his stomach, he went to the class, climbed the stage and announced the IV date with a bright smile on his face. ‘Did you consult us? We are not free on that day’ came a fierce reply.‘I asked in whatsapp group yesterday, nobody proposed a rejection in spite of the whole group having seen the message, so I went on with this date’ his face had already begun to sag.‘You should have asked in class’ came another voice ‘I am sorry please everyone try to come. It’ll be really useful. Make yourself free and try to attend. We need a minimum of 80% attendance’ He said it in an appealing tone and went to his place.Little did he know that the toughest part of collecting the IV expenses amount is yet to come. Soon after the class got over one of his friend came to him.‘Rohan can you please postpone tomorrow’s assessment examination to the following Monday?’‘Sure I will try my level best’ He said with a smile. He went to the professor cabin and requested for the change of date‘Monday, not possible at all. We are already receiving complaints from the controllers that our department is always rescheduling dates. I can’t change it’.‘Sir, the exam is to test our knowledge in the curriculum. Most of us have lab semester tommorow morning. Students will find it really hard to face an assessment the same day afternoon. They will not be able to prepare properly’ He tried to list out all possible valid points. ‘Okay, since you are requesting so much, I will keep it on Saturday, on one condition that established timetables will be followed henceforth‘He was content with the reply.‘Thanks sir’ He left the place.Late in the evening he posted in the group“Tomorrow’s assessment is postponed to Saturday since there is a lot of a portion to study in addition to the lab semester” Within next few seconds the replies he received were“What! I am leaving for home town on Friday night”“Who will study and write exam on Saturday?”And the most hurting one came‘It would have been convenient for him to write on Saturday, so he would have fixed that day’Having seen this reply, he became frustrated and heart broken. What am I going to gain being a class representative? Just bad name! He threw away his phone to his cot, went to sleep hoping everything becomes alright the forthcoming day.
Next Day : Thursday morning ‘Rohan , can you please bring the marker?’‘Sure mam’ He left with the same smile that he had the previous day unaware of what experience the day is about to give him.
Yes, they get blamed for all reasons, they miss their food to help us, they try to protect us by supporting us, they do it as an additional job apart from their studies without having any academical advantage, they put in their sweat hoping that they could possibly do some little change in someone’s life.
This is for every representative out there representing us in a better way. A kind request , If you can’t encourage, at least don’t discourage their work. If you can’t take up the duty, don’t dare to master it from a distance.

Friendship - The greatest gift of life ❤
The titbits and gossips of few people are never going to affect the relationship between a brother and a sister. Then why should it affect the friendship between a guy and a girl?
‘Attitude, yeah that was the first word that came into my mind when I saw her the first time in my department during the 2nd semester. I used to turn my head the other side whenever she entered into the class or not possibly look at her. Days passed with both of us having no good wills about each other. It was one unusual evening when I had to call her to solve a problem that had happened in class on that day, performing the duties of an assistant class representative. I could still remember myself walking in the corridor of Chemparuthi Hostel trying to talk to her in fluent English. My fluency in English was a little low by then because I did not have enough touch in higher secondary since I was in hostel. I was glad that she understood my broken English and soon the problem was solved. Even then, we didn’t talk much. It was during the second assessment, she texted me to teach her a subject. ‘Yes’ was my immediate reply. I started wondering later how am I going to do it. Sleeping in class had become a daily routine and I didn’t have enough notes. That’s when I had to go to Anna Centenary library to prepare the subject to teach her. I could still remember and laugh at those moments. I had to study the subject late into night till I understood it completely so that there wouldn’t be any hic-cups when I teach it to her. It was around 10:30 AM next day when I went to teach her in the place opposite to the EEE department. She used to be with her friends gang. I felt a little odd so I taught her what I knew and left the place soon. To be honest the subject that I taught her is the only subject I am so well versed in my entire 3 years of college life.
Then we started studying together during assessment and semester. That’s how we started to know each other more personally. We go for a walk within college. Every time during our walk if I see someone who knew me, then I used to tell her that they are going to mock at me later. Then at one point, she got irritated and said that if you feel bad then stop walking with me. I had other ideas though; I stopped caring about the mocks. We started getting closer. Then came the summer holidays. To be frank I hated chatting with her because most of the times I don’t get what she meant. I learned a lot of short forms and anonyms from her, for instance the word ‘Sup’ meant ‘What’s up’. We didn’t talk much in summer holidays. Then soon the college reopened. During daytime she will be with her group, I will be doing my responsibilities. Our evening walks became often, it actually became my habit, sharing with her what happened the entire day.
I am the type of person who goes in search of work to keep myself busy until excessive workload and few people words build up in my head, finally make me dull, and turn me off. She used be my backbone of encouragement at those times. I’ll meet her to share what had happened and then relax myself. As usual, gossips stayed in the air around us. But we knew about each other, we used to laugh about all those gossips and her greatest happiness is keeping me single. Then her birthday came. I decided that I should give her a gift that could stay with her for a year until I give her one the next year. The only best idea within the budget I had is to buy her a silver ring. However, a second thought peeped in, “What will she think about me?” I asked her friends. They said that she wouldn’t have any wrong thoughts because she believed in our friendship. So I went for the gift. She was glad when she saw the gift and I am glad now because it stayed for more than one year. Every day that call around 7:30 PM with the very first sentence, “Where are you?” is the most expected one. Then I would meet her and leave for dinner.
Then soon the 1st January of 2016 came. I still remember the promise that I made to her “I will make sure that the entire college will know about our friendship” I am glad that I did it already. She taught me how to be cool and stylish. The fact that my English fluency has improved so much is only because of her. The only thing that I hate about her is her anger. I try to end all the possible conversation at the start itself if I knew that was going to lead to a fight. Still we had fought a lot, but I can’t stay for more than two days without talking to her. I will send an entire paragraph of emotional message with the end line “But I still hate you”. Any help that is possible within my limits, she would call me first. Protecting and caring for her became an additional job for me. The road from alumni centre to canteen and until kottur gate will give us enough memories when we will leave this college. The expert adviser for both of us is each other. 2017,this New Year came; I made her another promise, “I will make sure that the entire world will know about our friendship”. I am just wondering how am I going to do that. She is the one among very few who is keeping me alive in this college and get me move on during bad times. Yeah I love her more than a lover, thats what friends are meant to be’.
She’s been there; When I cry, when I get heartbroken, when I laugh, when I’m mad, when I’m happy, when I’m jealous, when I’m crazy, when I’m down, when I lose, when I succeed. She has been through everything with me. And that’s why I call her my BEST FRIEND, hierarchized more than a lover.
We have come a long way from where we began, I will tell the whole world about our friendship until eternity.
GirlFriend and Girl Friend, you see the little gap between the two words, that’s the leap of friendship which any kind of love can never dare to bridge in-between.

CEG’s HEART VOICES – PERFECTLY UNCHAINED HEARTS
“Some people search their whole lives to find what I found in you – LOVE. So where did it all start, baby?”This is how he started to tell his love story amidst some busy symposium times in CEG. For the first time ever, the blog has got narration from the couple as a whole. Amidst the cute chronicle, situation drove even more endearing when she corrects him in between and he corrects her with high point drama live.“Initially I had a gang of friends in first semester which had four boys and two girls.”, he started. “As said, first semester gang sustains long. Surprisingly, she was not one within the gang. She started a conversation with me in a weird way”, both laughed. “How did she start?” I asked with lots of eagerness. “It was obvious that I wanted to talk to him and I just blabbered something that came into my mind. Both of us are common with our native – Madurai. But he settled in Chennai and I went abroad for my school studies. So I started with, ‘Madurai la endha area (Where was your place of stay in Madurai?)’”, she smiled big till her cheekbones hurt. Then came the typical Whatsapp corners. After some long chats in little hours, I found an instant spark with her and so couldn’t resist but just bring her into my gang. She started becoming close with my people. Everything related to me became mutual to her in very few days. Soon, she became my reason to attend boring classes. She became my reason to look forward to the next day expecting her cute pretty smile every day.”
“One day, when there was random thoughts being shared in our hostel, I just blurted out my reverie, ‘I feel XXX(he) is pretty handsome among other guys in our class’. There started the mocking session."she said. "I myself revealed my special likes for her within the gang. Everything seemed to be perfect when I was with her" he added in between. "Everywhere our eye contacts were noted and people started to surround us or giggle about us from some distance”, She was stopped by him. “You know what; I actually enjoyed all that…” She blushed.Gang outings are mandatory before a couple gets committed within the gang. “We, means, me and my gang went out for a movie, REMO. And unexpectedly, we both sat together inside the theatre. We spent some cute time watching those romantic scenes onscreen. We started feeling that we are much more than the ‘just friends’ stereotype. As usual, mocking sessions happened now and then, with an expanded circle each day. One fine day…, both of us sat in first row, but different column set. I just yelled out for fun, ‘Oyi, Enaku epo OK solluva (When will you give thumbs up for me?)’. Everybody excluding the faculty noticed my utterings and her blushes.” He stopped to look if I am listening. Three of us started laughing for a while.
“I already had a love in school, which didn’t work out for obvious reasons. She had a huge crush on a guy from her school, which didn’t get promoted in realistic platform. Maybe, cupid had waited so long to write a common love story for both of us. We started sharing our personal past lives. I started telling her everything, even things which I had kept secretive from my family. What more? This is LOVE, we knew. But, the fear of losing our exquisite friendship stopped us from confessing. I started texting her whole-heartedly, ‘Enaku epo di OK solluva’. She used to reply, ‘O varaikum vandhirchu, K vara maatengudhu da (my mind is ready to utter O. Something stops me from uttering K)’ “, he said. “Wow, really cute..!” I exclaimed.“Few days passed by with both of us sharing some private moments. People used to leave us alone even when we are in the gang. When some other guys come to talk to her, I really get jealous and feel like giving him a kick. ‘Go away, she’s my girl’. She knew that I get possessive and started making me more possessive. Girls always like getting more love in the form of jealousy. That journey, between discovering your love and confessing it is the best part of any love story”“That day, October 28th, I badly wanted to propose her. Near physics laboratory, one of my friend got me a dirty flower from the vicinity to show my symbol of love. With bad vibes on seeing the flower I just passed it to my friends, ‘Let me propose without any flower’. That flower just got passed and passed and finally one more guy from my gang was about to give it to her. ‘Stop, moron’ I urged. She laughed. Possibly she understood what I was up for. We just started walking. Before she reached her hostel, I said, ‘I love you. I just can’t resist to face a life without you by my side’. ‘Just think about our background. Won’t studies get affected?’ she listed all such obvious excuses. ‘Sollu sollu, epdyu OK solliruva (Whatever be your reasons, I know you love me, I’ll wait for you to confirm it)’ said my insight. I started plucking flowers near her hostel. Remembrance to Varanam Aayiram is obvious to come..! Before she went inside her hostel, I made an official romantic proposal with my whole gang surrounding us. She just got the flowers and went inside the hostel. This was followed by Diwali weekend scenes. I kept on spamming her with ‘Enaku epo OK solluva’ text. The start of the next week, became the most beautiful day of my life. She tried to surprise me, in vain, The failed surprise became the success of my love. ‘Enaku epovo OK da (It’s a yes for me, long back)’, she said in the gallery, waiting for my arrival after the classes got over. The best dialogue ever”, he ended with a huge sigh. The couple blushed. “Lots of silly cute fights, lots of care. A feel that somebody is always there to care for me, makes me overcome all my hurdles. Our parents have had love marriage, but both our families are against love. Whatsoever the future has for us, we are ready to face it together, simply to-get-her” he finished. “Wish you all good fortune”, I said.
“Love is when the other person’s happiness matters you much more than yours”. Had an oppourtunity to just watch it happening..! ‘Writing is just a blessing that you seek in very rare circumstances. Glad that I get one through this blog’

"Love me Till the End" Stereotype at CEG
"If I did anything right in my life, it was when I gave my heart to her". This was his starting punchline on his never-ending love story. Amidst the busy project work, he sat down to express the memories of his love story this valentine week. He began ‘We were both in the same batch and she was my adjacent roll number’ He turned pink. ‘Since I had my higher secondary education in a boys school, I was shy initially and was unaware of how to talk to girls, but as the time fleeted I was able to recognize that my eyes started disobeying my thoughts and began hearing to the feeble sounds of my heart ‘Turn towards her’. My usual place was the first bench and hers was second. If one could see my sitting posture, they would easily guess on what I am up for. Staring at her when she didn’t look was my only job after my representative duties. It’s an awesome feel to have a crush in your same class, you are guaranteed with full day attendance. I created attention by mocking staffs and friends so that she could look at me. Those days’ he paused for a moment to admire at his own feeling. He continued ‘Those days, when she could sit next to me in RCC , Basic Sciences Lab, finding doubts were really easy even when I know them, I just wanted a mere silly reason to talk to her’ He laughed. ‘We became closer, we shared information and much more. We become close enough but none had the courage to express. So I asked her for a treat, to celebrate our friendship. I know this is a lame reason but I just wanted to spend time with her. We went to the canteen where her friends were also sitting around the table we sat. Canteen was typically crowded. Not all her friends were close to me and they remained a barrier between us, I maintained silence. Suddenly one of her friends asked me “Do you love someone? Do you have a crush on someone? Liked anyone before? Like anyone in class?” No was my only answer to all the questions, I didn’t like the fact that I want to express myself before someone else. Then the girl began to mock at me that I was a dumb for not having a crush. I tolerated to an extent, and then suddenly I raised my hands and pointed towards my girl and said that I have crush on her. Love leashes your sixth sense, I have heard people saying this before but this was the first time I felt it. She didn't say anything, she remained silent. Then the girl who questioned me started asking her who her crush was, after few minutes of compulsion she said that she also has a crush on me. You simply can’t imagine how I felt? The feel when your crush has a crush on you’ he looked straight into my face.
‘It is obviously a superb feel’ my voice said. He continued ‘We became close then, spent interval and lunch time together until her friend came as a speed breaker on our smooth journey of love. She totally confused my girl’s mind, with the most common points that love would ruin her rapport with her parents and become a barrier for her studies. Then my girl came straight to me and said that this will not work out, we will stop everything from today.’ He paused. ‘ I was able to feel a pain that I never felt before. She said goodbye and left the place. On our next RCC lab, I was not able to see her true self. When I asked something, She didn’t reply properly. I came to the room after the lab, feeling so low, a sudden feel of seclusion. As I said before, Love is dangerous to proper brain function. The blade before my eyes commanded me to do something unusual. Before I could realize what happened, there were 21 cuts in my hand. My friend who just came inside my room panicked seeing the red blood gushing out my hands. He went straight to her and said her what had happened. She called me immediately to meet.I went with no hope. From her face I predicted that she was very angry towards me, “I would have accepted you if you didn't do such foolish act.” She said and left fiercely. The day passed as if I was literally living in hell. The following day, she said that she wanted to talk to me after the chemistry lab. After the lab, we circled around SNH and Vivek Auditorium. She asked me “Will you be with me forever, even after 4 years, throughout the life and never cheat me?” I replied swiftly “Of course, I swear” We were walking for another 15 minutes in silence, then she finally opened “I will also be there for you, forever”. He stopped. I could see his face turn pink. ‘Two and a half years has passed since then, there are of course few fights between us, but they make us know each other better, place before physics lab, Madhya Kailash temple and coolbiz became our usual place of visit. The most favorite place is the Birla planetarium, those 45 minutes of the show there gives us a magical feel’ he finished. I was able to see his brightly lit face through the corner of the door when i left the room ."I fell in love with you, because you loved me when I couldn't love myself." Love is not about getting attracted, It is about showering affection in good and bad times, without any expectations... Felt this coming true on seeing this beautiful pair. May fortune favor them to be together forever...!

LOVE - An Unconditional Voyage
Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.
Felt this quote coming true my way, when I started hearing one heart-soothing story that I felt 'I should share it to the masses of CEG'. Months after confessing their love, this couple finally got down to walk through the memory lane.
It was almost 10 P.M, when he sat down to express the immense love he had for her. "It started when I was in my 2nd semester. My days were boring with routine stuffs, possibly because I didn't meet one such heartthrob in the campus. One fine evening I was making fun of my roommate that he wasn’t brave enough to talk to girls. I scared him that I would send I love you' message pranks to all the girls in his contact. As he didn’t bother, I started searching for girls names to send the message, that’s when I saw her name, fate played, a feel of déjà vu! Yeah! We were classmates during 4th grade after which she left the school. To my surprise, I still remembered her. Even during my 4thstandard she was atypical and bold. Since she stayed for just one year, her name was registered in my mind, for obvious reasons. I had to confirm it. Initially I started texting from my friend’s phone. Soon I started texting from mine. When she kept her picture as display picture, I confirmed that it was her and she had saved my number but still she could not recognize me. “Can we meet?” was my next question. I took a leap to ask this. What could she think? “Yes” came the reply. I was a bit nervous, as it was our first meet. Fear comes free with excitement. It was almost 7:00 P.M in the night. Our meeting spot was in the middle of the sports ground, virtually the meeting spot for many other couples. The exhausted sports person were already leaving to have their dinner that’s when she came into the ground through one of the many gate near the gallery .She came with her friend. I was also standing with my friend. Literally felt irritated of having two subject-less pillars in play between us. Each of her closer steps made my heartbeat grow faster enviably. We greeted each other and after few minutes of talking, we decided to go to the canteen."
With a sudden startle he said "Gulab Jamun was the first thing we ate together in canteen". He smiled "When we were in canteen a gang whooped her name. I later came to know that she was a dreamy girl for many other guys around the campus. Many followed her and had a crush on her. If a pretty girl exists around the campus, no matter what, she'll become the talk of the town in the nuke and corners of the campus. The hierarchy of love went like this - Best Friend, Human Diary and the Other Half. After we met in the canteen we became good friends and started to meet frequently. I was happy that I settled into the first hierarchy with ease. Our calls were short and sweet. She used to ask me, were there any incidents that we shared in school days so that she could remember me. Her most frequent question was that how I remembered her after all this year with the high-point fact that we neither shared a good rapport nor a long span of acquaintance in school time. Soon the semester got over. Chats were our only way of communication during the summer holidays. Chats went limitless. It became my routine habit. My whats-app frequent chats always had her name at the top. Few times during the chat, I purposely made her wait; It’s always good to watch your close ones getting tensed and waiting for you. Slowly our bonding grew; I felt that I became an important person to her. When I am frustrated, she gives me good advice and stands by my side. Everything was normal until college reopened. The gang turned into a trouble, one among the gang also loved her. Sometimes when I meet her, the guys would surround and trouble her. I would then talk to them, console them and leave her in the hostel. She felt safe and secure when she was with me. One day evening around 7:45 P.M, when she was returning from ATM, the gang started following her, she ran to the middle of the ground and called me. I went as swiftly as possible. The gang was standing near the gallery entrance. I went straight to her. She grabbed my hand tight. We started walking towards the entrance, on seeing them blocking the way I became tensed. Maybe a hero inside me awoke. She felt my hands becoming tautened. Luckily, her department friends came for the rescue and took her to the hostel. I was there talking to the gang, giving advice to them to propose to her gently though I was burning with anger inside, maybe an undefined possessiveness grew uncontrollably big. That’s when I felt that I lost something in me. I didn’t sleep that night. Late night, I called her shedding tears, she asked me repeatedly that why was I crying, and then I finally said “I want to be with you forever, will you?” “Puriyala” she replied. The most stereotypical reply of girls even if they know what we mean. I repeated it again. There was a few minutes of silence, “what should I do now?” she asked. I was crying literally. ‘I said what I had in my mind, if you say no then we can remain friends forever’. I had my fingers crossed hoping that she wont friend-zone me. His face expressed that exact moment, it went blue. ‘The following day was a fine Saturday morning, 23rd July. I got ready and met her at 9:30 in the car park. She kept on asking what happened the previous night. I held her hands all of the sudden and said “I love you” After which followed a two hours long hard-to-listen advice.’ He sighed. ‘She replied that she will wait till final year, and to find out if my love is really lasting amidst the barriers which we had to face. I started crying again. Love boozes the senses. I was not able to control my tears. After few hours when everything became normal, we went back to our hostel. The following week we planned to go to home. As her town was next to mine, we decided to go together. Around 5:30 P.M, We took adjacent seats in the bus. Minutes of silence, we did not talk much. Around 7:30 P.M when the bus was moving gently on the NH road , she turned towards me, all of the sudden she held my hands and said “Na una namburan, kadisi varakum en kuda irupanu, I love you ”, he paused ‘the best day in my life'" He finished with a blush on his face.
"Forever is a HUGE Time, But I wouldn't mind spending it with her" was his bottomline to the endless love of his life.
