Review of The Empty Grave

The Empty Grave (Lockwood & Co., #5) The Empty Grave by Jonathan Stroud

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Alright let me say it. I loved this book. The enigmatic Anthony grew on me. I'm hoping the series on Netflix does justice to the books since i just started watching episode 1.
As for the skull the less said the better. He was fucking hilarious. I'm hoping there will be a book with him in it.

“The ultimate reality is that we may never know the answers to all the questions in this life. Perhaps generations after us would be able to finally put to rest  these gnawing questions. The honest truth is that we only get to live once and we might as well enjoy this reality no matter how it is.”
N.K. Aning, Reality

“Love is the most powerful weapon in the world. It makes brothers of enemies. It makes even the divine come to the aid of mortals.”
N.K. Aning, The Legend of Pierce and Peter: The Dawn

“It wasn’t that people were shocked but the instinctive dread of the unknown had people rooted to the spot. The planet was a beating heart of humanity eager and dreading the unknown emerging out of the ship. They wanted to know what was in the ship yet dreaded it all the same.”
N.K. Aning, First Contact

“Gods die. And when they truly die they are unmourned and unremembered. Ideas are more difficult to kill than people, but they can be killed, in the end.”
Neil Gaiman, American Gods

“All your questions can be answered, if that is what you want. But once you learn your answers, you can never unlearn them.”
Neil Gaiman, American Gods

“I should have been shocked but I wasn’t. “Surely, I deserve to be in heaven.” Lucifer rolled his eyes. “To be honest with you, I have no idea why every mortal seems to think they belong in heaven. I mean, look at the lot of you.”
N.K. Aning, The Infernal Jury

“Monsters have one thing in common. They fear bigger monsters”
N.K. Aning, Pierce and the City of Imaginaterium (Imaginaterium, #1).

“There was a time when I too ruled the cosmos like Yahweh but now I only live through the stories and imagination of mankind.”
