Hi Lynn,

Thank you for the incredibly kind words! For the past while I've just been focused on everything surrounding The Dutch Wife. It's coming out in Dutch next month, and in the U.S. in September. However, I'm really looking forward to finally sitting down and starting a new novel, hopefully in the coming week or two. I'm still mulling over the specifics, but I have a feeling it will take place in New York in the 1950s...only a decade after The Dutch Wife, but a total shift in atmosphere!(less)

“We need to be able to laugh about what life throws at us. How else can we expect to press on?”
Ellen Keith, The Dutch Wife

“You see, over the course of a game, luck tends to balance out, and it comes down to strategy....It all depends on those opening rolls of the die. If you're not rolling high, you'll need to start building walls to block your opponent. At any moment, everything can shift, but strength lies in knowing when to maintain your defences, and when it's safe to make a move.”
Ellen Keith, The Dutch Wife

“His devotion makes me wish, I wish I had something to make me stronger, to give me hope.”
