#2 – What Is Truth?
Would you rather have the truth, or have your feelings spared?
If it was possible, you would like them both; that is, whatever the truth is, it is also in line with your ego and your feelings and it makes you feel good about yourself and conversely, it doesn’t make you feel like you’re wrong or lowers your self-esteem.
Rarely, if ever, does life works in such a beautiful way that makes you feel happy all the time.
If I had to choose, I would prefer to have the truth than have me feeling go...

#1 – The Fourth Kind of People
Two of the most vocal camps in the conversation about religion are the atheists and the believers. The third kind of people – the kind who are agnostic, or those who suppose that god may or may not exist – are, for the most part, not as loud or as compelled to prove their belief to be right as the other two camps.
But there exists a fourth camp of people – those who do not partake in these conversations – and these are the kind that I consider the luckiest. The people who go about their live...

#30 – You can do what you want (Motivation)
The first step is always having a motivation and a purpose to do something. That is not so easy. Sometimes one needs to go out and look for it, other times it comes knocking. If you are so lucky as it comes knocking, good for you. If you need to go out and find it, it’s a bit harder, but not impossible.
What’s harder, I believe is persistence. People lose interest as they go along. A few days of repeated actions that will get you to the end goal – whatever it may be – and then...

Oh, Rains, How I Love Thee
[image error]
The sky is grey these days, and I see very little of the sun. The past week or so have been the same – morning schedules, trying to eat right, rushing from one thing to another and ending the day with a little bit of reading.
The funny thing is – I actually do enjoy the rains. As I was rushing from one appointment to another, trying to check off whatever I could on my to-do list, I saw, for the first time in quite a while and thought to myself ‘This is a very beautiful day’.
There is some be...

Death, But Not By Nuclear War
For the most part, I try not to bother with news. It is either negative, or repetitive, or completely unnecessary. So when I see random news stories that are actually positive, I find myself smiling and finding something positive, generally is a rare occasion. Earlier when browsing through my flipboard, I came across a story reported by GQ, and perhaps many others, about how our world might come to an end – and it might not related to trump after all.
If a headline or a story like that doesn’...

Write what you know is such terrible advice…
I often hear this advice on internet forums and in person.
“Write what you know.”
It’s great if you’d like to write something, and don’t know where to start. But it’s really sh*tty advice if that’s all you’re going to do. Don’t write what you know. Write what you’d like to know, what you’d like to read, what you’d like the world to know.
Write a book that hasn’t been written yet. Write a book about ideas that are worth repeating. Write about the world. Research. Ask your characters how they...

Some of My Favourite Quotes From My Book
This post has been a long time in the making. I re-read my book, as even I tend to forget somethings that I’ve written in the book. I am very excited to see this kind of positive reviews and sales of the book. If you haven’t yet, check it out on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
Selected Favourites:“Some of us manage to think bigger, brighter, deeper thoughts. Some of these thoughts already shape the kind of research we do. Some of them will prove to be right, and our understanding of our home will...

You See, If We Have No Hope, We Have Nothing
It’ll be fine.
Change is imminent, and sometimes change isn’t comfortable: People die, people get fired, people leave. While it may seem bleak now, it’ll be fine later.
By no means are the emotions of grief and sorrow unnecessary, though. They make us understand what we value, they make us stronger, they make us human.
We have incredible capacity to adapt and solve problems. So, no matter what happens, we’ll make it fine.
You see, if we have no hope, we have nothing.
And so, it’ll be fine.
Th...

Ten Must Read Books After You’ve Read ‘The Things We Don’t Know’
At the end of my book, I published a list of ten must read books that everyone read if they want to expand their treasure chest of knowledge. My book touches upon a variety of subjects – History, Philsophy, Religion and a little bit of Human Psychology as well. So it’s no surprise that the kind of reading suggestions you get are pretty diverse and varied.
One quote stands out to me everytime I read (and re-read) my book, and I want to share it with you:
“We, of all the beings that we know of...
