Gregory Ryan is a member of the International Thomas Merton Society (ITMS) and leads a local ITMS chapter in NJ. He has published articles and book reviews on Thomas Merton in "The Merton Annual," "The Merton Seasonal" and "Cistercian Studies Quarterly," among others. Greg is a Benedictine oblate member of The World Community for Christian Meditation (WCCM.org). Since 1981, he has led a Christian meditation group in his parish. His other books include "Our Hearts Burned Within Us: Reading the New Testament with John Main" and the children’s book "My Happy Heart: Prayer of the Heart for Children." He and his wife Elizabeth wrote and illustrated "The ABC's of Thomas Merton: A Monk at the Heart of the World" (Paraclete Press, June 10, 2017). T ...more
