Spell-binding Spells is at the top of the Bestseller Lists

This has been a truly exciting couple of weeks since Spell-binding Spells was released first in paperback and then in e-book format.

Amazon Rankings

For more than a week now the book has been - #1 Bestselling New Release in Cricket on Amazon India
- Top 5 on the Bestseller List in Cricket on Amazon India (the two editions were #2 and #3 respectively on the list for a while)

These rankings are particularly gratifying because the book has been competing with Rajdeep Sardesai's new book and Gideon Haigh's new release as well.

Truly grateful to my readers for the response and the reviews on Amazon so far which have been simply overwhelming.

Spell-binding Spells is also doing well in Bookstores across India.

Nov 19th in Kolkata and Nov 22nd in Mumbai are the two formal book launches by VVS Laxman and Sanjay Manjrekar respectively.

Please pick up a copy and do leave a review on Goodreads as well as Amazon.

Prepare to be Spellbound!

Spell-binding Spells is being released

It has been a long journey but the book that some of you know I have been working on for some time is almost here!

Tomorrow the book goes up for Pre-ordering on the Amazon India bookstore. And then in the coming weeks it will be on different websites everywhere and in stores across India.

'Spell-binding Spells' describes 50 magnificent bowling spells across different formats of the game in its long and illustrious history. It recalls the lives and deeds of bowlers all but forgotten, and relives some incredible moments in cricket history with little known facts about bowlers we think we know all about.

As VVS Laxman says in his lovely Foreword to the book : “This book is a tribute to bowlers, a breed that has never profited from the benefit of the doubt, a tribe that has gamely plied its trade in a sport whose rules have historically always favoured batsmen. This book is about fast bowlers striking fear in the hearts of batsmen while spitting fire and brimstone and spinners working their intricate webs of deception, and doing all this in single spells of magnificent bowling.”

I hope you will enjoy reading the book.

Watch this space for the links as we have them.
