मी कडाक्याच्या थंडीत, बँफ (Banff) मध्ये एका बर्फाळलेल्या ट्रेल वर चालत होते. इथे कॅनडा मध्ये बरेच दिवस तापमान शुन्य सेल्सिअस च्या खाली असते. पण खरी कसोटी असते तापमान शुन्य सेल्सिअस च्या वर खाली जाते तेव्हा. दिवस तापमान शून्याच्या जरा वर जाते त्यामुळे आणि उन्हामुळे असल्याने जमिनीवर पडलेला स्नो वितळतो. पण ते तापमान अनेक दिवस पडलेला सगळा बर्फ वितळून त्याचं पाणी वाह
