Bob Fox is a California native who has lived in greater Charleston South Carolina for over thirty years. He and his wife moved there after falling in love with the area as tourists. His writing career began with The Endless Trail: Socrates’ Sandals on the Appalachian Trail, a memoir about his son’s thru-hike. A Common Bond: Trials of Romance, is his debut fiction novel. He formerly enjoyed recreational off-shore fishing, but now prefers being a landlubber and day hiker. Bob also enjoys reading and gaming.

Trail Days Appalachian Trail

"Socrates" (Eric) and I will attend Trail Days in Damascus Virginia May 18-20 to sign copies of The Endless Trail: Socrates' Sandals on the AT. If you're a hiking enthusiast, come and join the jamboree of thru-hikers, authors and gear suppliers. The hiker parade is a must see and a chance to reunite with former and current thru-hikers. I was expecting more from the grad daddy of science-fiction. It was light on how but heavy on emotion and feelings. I liked that the author had several chapters from the POV of the monster. The main character was feckless and cowered as his creation ...more
