Historical fiction, it is about a family who comes to America in the early 1900s for a better life. Although I originally based it on my mother's family, as I wrote it I realized it is a tribute to all of those who came to the United States.
On another note, with the holidays approaching, "When Shadows Linger" is a perfect gift for the readers on your list. It deals with hope and inspiration, which is what the holiday season is all about. Set in beautiful Vermont, there are plenty of winter descriptions and Christmas references that help make it a perfect holiday gift. It's available in e-book and paperback on Amazon.
