HÉLIO PIRES nasceu em Alcobaça, a 21 de Maio de 1980. É licenciado em Filosofia, pela Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Mestre em Estudos Vikings, pela Universidade de Uppsala (2006) e Doutor em História Medieval, pela FCSH/UNL (2012), com a tese Incursões Nórdicas no Ocidente Ibérico (844-1147): fontes, história e vestígios. É investigador do Instituto de Estudos Medievais (IEM-FCSH/UNL) e tem interesses de investigação a História Medieval, os estudos nórdicos e vikings, religiões e mitologias, áreas sobre as quais escreveu diversos artigos e o livro Os Vikings em Portugal e na Galiza: história, lenda e mitologia nórdica (2017), Mitos e Lendas Nórdicas (2022), As Runas Desvendadas - Dois Milénios de Hi ...more
