How do you deal with writer’s block?

Raffy Boudjikanian I like to step away from anything involving writing at all, and the more physically active what I do instead, the better. A jog, walk, workout or a ca…moreI like to step away from anything involving writing at all, and the more physically active what I do instead, the better. A jog, walk, workout or a capoeira lesson (though of course the schedule for class has to coincide nicely with the timing of my writer's block in that case) work best.
If that won't do, I'll try watching TV or a movie.
I'm not entirely sure why these do the trick for me. I'd like to think it has something to do with my subconscious still working on the book while I occupy myself with something else.
It also sometimes takes weeks, but there you have it. (less)
