The daughter of a reverend of modest means, E. A. Carter grew up in the Canadian countryside with only a bicycle, her cat, and her imagination to occupy her. Apparently, this was enough.

Inspired by the fantastical worlds of Tolkien, C. S. Lewis, and Hans Christian Andersen, she began writing stories set in distant times and magical places at the age of thirteen.

Today, her books blend romance, fantasy, and historical fiction. Many of her characters are real people from history, carefully researched and brought back to life in immersive stories that span centuries and empires.

Thank you for letting me know (and your desire to review my book)! I have placed it on Goodreads manually, I can't put it up on Bookbub, though. This book isn't published as a "real" book because it is a fan fiction, so that's why you haven't been able to find it. I didn't know I could add my book here, so thank you for asking me because it made me figure out how to do it! https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/9...(less)

Fawn by C.N. Vair
"A dark fantasy horror about a fawn and a woman who finds herself, her animals and her way of life under threat. From the start we know there is something not quite right about our protagonist Tess, she is mysterious with witchcraft being her art. Thi" Read more of this review »
The Devil Knows Her Name by C.N. Vair
"Wow, this one surprised me! I really enjoyed this book. It’s very unique, and super atmospheric. A spooky eco-horror swamp gothic modern small town (green) witch story, with a bit of devil seduction on the side. Very well written, no critiques, this " Read more of this review »
The Devil Knows Her Name by C.N. Vair
"The biggest flaw of C.N. Vair’s Soutbern horror book The Devil Knows Her Name is that it ends. That’s it, really. As a Southerner, and as someone who lived in the mountains for many years, I was enthralled by the dark Appalachian world shown here. I " Read more of this review »

“Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.”
Carl Sagan

“One glance at a book and you hear the voice of another person, perhaps someone dead for 1,000 years. To read is to voyage through time.”
Carl Sagan

“Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were, but without it we go nowhere.”
Carl Sagan

“We are like butterflies who flutter for a day and think it is forever.”
Carl Sagan, Cosmos

“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.”
Carl Sagan, The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark
