It highlights the bravery and suffering of Korean women at the hands of Japanese soldiers during the war as they were forced to work as comfort women.
Andrews' tale is compelling and heart wrenching although written with extreme sensitivity.
His sequel The Dragon Queen is due out early 2018 and will definitely be included in my TBR pile.

No spoilers here but I will say that the ending is hauntingly stunning and very clever.
