A plan came together with my surgeon to not only help me survive, but thrive. I didn’t know what that looked like then, but I know now.

Today, I stand here, stronger and more committed tha

“Like stories, art isn’t something that we see exactly as it is. Stories and art are mirrors, reflections of who we are and who we hope to be.”
Christa Avampato, Emerson Page and Where the Light Enters

“We’re all born believing,” said Jasper. “The trick of life is to keep believing, even when we’re faced with disappointment. That’s why books are such precious things. They help us believe in our own magic.”
Christa Avampato, Emerson Page and Where the Light Enters

“It’s easy to fight,” Jasper said sternly. And then his tone softened again. “What’s not easy , and what’s necessary, is to love. If you can love in times of anger and hate, then nothing can ever really hurt you. Love, not violence, takes courage.”
Christa Avampato, Emerson Page and Where the Light Enters

“The Potter books in general are a prolonged argument for tolerance, a prolonged plea for an end to bigotry. And I think it's one of the reasons that some people don't like the books, but I think that's it's a very healthy message to pass on to younger people that you should question authority and you should not assume that the establishment or the press tells you all of the truth.”
J.K. Rowling

“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”
Oscar Wilde

“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.”
Bernard M. Baruch

“A room without books is like a body without a soul.”
Marcus Tullius Cicero

“In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on.”
Robert Frost
