Beth Cohen was born and raised in Staten Island, NYC. After receiving her bachelors degree from Syracuse University, Beth moved to kibbutz in the desert of Israel where she married her former husband in the date orchard and brought two exceptional boys into the world. The family left the kibbutz when the boys were in grade school. In her 40's Beth was able to acknowledge her identity and met and married her best friend and partner, Dawn. They live in a small town near the sea. Having a writer's soul, Beth's blog, LesbosOnTheCouch, is where Beth most frequently describes their life and her somewhat unique view of life. I really enjoyed this book. The story within the story, the uncertainty, the mystery, and the realistic but surprising ending. Well done!

This book is told in such a calm voice and tone. The words carry you away with the rise and fall of emotion - all at once extatic- and then hard and painful. This book is an epic gift of history and emotion.
