Eric Scott Stevens is a science fiction and fantasy writer from Kentucky and the winner of the 2025 Chicago Typewriter Short Story Contest. A U.S. Army veteran, his work spans from near-future science fiction to grimdark fantasy, with a focus on themes of grief, the cost of war, bonds of family, and the chains that bind the very gods.

He is currently working on "Prometheus Unchained," his epic, ancient Greek fantasy novel spanning the Titanomachy, the age of Homer, and the beginning of a new era in the world of mythology.

Enthusiastic about all things analog, Eric spends his time restoring old typewriters, learning DOS computing, and practicing bonsai. He lives with his wife (an ICU nurse) and their three children. ...more
