Andrés Aguilar Quesada is a Costa Rican writer based in Tokyo. He is the author of the novel 'El Bosque de los Plátanos Petrificados' (Encino, 2022), and the books 'Sereno' (La Jirafa y Yo, 2017) and 'Ratones Pérez' (EUNED, 2023), which won the 2022 Hugo Díaz Illustrated Album Literary Contest and was selected for the 2024 IBBY Honour List. 'Ratones Pérez', illustrated by Costa Rican artist Gabriela Zumbado, tells the story of a family of mice running a business dedicated to the collection of fallen teeth. His latest book is 'Cosas que me entusiasman de la playa', his first collection of short stories.
