Rejoicing in beautiful weirdness.

M. D. Flyn is a voracious reader, a writer, and a chocolate inhaler. A lover of all things fantasy, scifi, and otherwise odd, she is a perpetrator of geekery. She began as a fluffy little thing, hiding in the woods with a good fairy tale. Years and lots of children later, she has returned to the birches of New Hampshire. Her superpower is breaking mechanical things by looking at them. She is easily distracted by sparkly things. In her spare time she gets glitter in the cracks between the floorboards, and pesters the local paper about homelessness. She is a goth cheerleader for the little guy and aspires to be your geek mom. She runs amuck and is rarely restrained by her good sense. Rejoicing in beautiful wei

Richard Adams
“Animals don't behave like men,' he said. 'If they have to fight, they fight; and if they have to kill they kill. But they don't sit down and set their wits to work to devise ways of spoiling other creatures' lives and hurting them. They have dignity and animality.”
Richard Adams, Watership Down

Piers Anthony
“All because he had tried to rescue a beautiful, vacuous girl from a dragon. In folklore, such a hero always received a most intriguing reward. In reality, the hero was as likely as not to find himself in need of rescue…”
Piers Anthony, A Spell for Chameleon

Isaac Asimov
“The theory of universal gravitation is not cast-iron. No theory is, and there is always room for improvement. Isn't that so? Science is constructed out of approximations that gradually approach the truth. . . Well, that means all theories are subject to constant testing and modification, doesn't it? And if it eventually turns out that they're not quite close enough to the truth, they need to be replaced by something that's closer. Right?”
Isaac Asimov, Nightfall

Jane Austen
“To sit in the shade on a fine day, and look upon verdure is the most perfect refreshment.”
Jane Austen

Lauren Bacall
“Imagination is the highest kite that can fly.”
Lauren Bacall, By Myself and Then Some
