In 2014 I had an experience that would change my life forever. My lower jaw was removed and replaced with titanium due to a large benign tumor that was taking over my face. Eight months earlier I had surgery for breast cancer, and decided to deal with the dis-ease holistically. My body was desperately trying to communicate to me that something was terribly wrong with my soul. So I finally decided to listen. These issues seemed to be connected to my mouth: both what was going into it, and what was coming out of it. I also struggled with weight throughout my life, had gastric bypass surgery at age 41 and successfully lost 170 lbs. I am now an author, speaker, and “reluctant” mouth expert. Somehow, through it all, I have maintained my sense of humor!

I was born and raised in Southern California, so singing, dancing, acting, and writing was in my DNA. My dream was to perform on stage or screen, or maybe write a screenplay–so after graduating high school I attended Lee Strasberg’s Theater Institute. Then reality sunk in and I needed a real job! So after twelve years of experience in the corporate world, and working for The Sheepfold Ministry, I returned to my passion and earned a certification from the UCLA Film School. Throughout the next fifteen years I worked with the Trinity Broadcasting Network, two successful video production companies, and founded my own advertising agency in 2007. I then served as Executive Director of a performing arts organization in Lufkin, Texas, and in 2016, I gave it all up to go back to my true passions; to be an author, public speaker and performer.

The road has led me places I never expected. And I have no idea where it will lead next. However, for every good and acceptable sacrifice there is a divine response. I look forward to that partnership with my Lord, the One who has been preparing me for a particular purpose, and for such a time as this.

I have been a Bible-believer for over 30 years; and in 2010 embraced the Hebrew perspective through Messianic Judaism. This fresh Hebrew lens has given me a bold outlook on today’s Christianity along with a passion for unity between Jews, Christians and the Messianic community. I share a challenging message–with real-life experiences, inspiration and a touch of humor. In my spare time I lead a Hebrew dance team and teach ballet to children.
