“Life is constantly whirring, dancing; it creates sparks, sparks that are beautiful, some which can burn. Life is many things. Above all else, life is movement. It is not stagnant. If you want to live, join the dance. Catch up to life. Standing still and waiting for life to happen is fruitless, you will merely see it pass you by in its swirling light.”

“But who prays for Satan? Who in eighteen centuries, has had the common humanity to pray for the one sinner that needed it most, our one fellow and brother who most needed a friend yet had not a single one, the one sinner among us all who had the highest and clearest right to every Christian's daily and nightly prayers, for the plain and unassailable reason that his was the first and greatest need, he being among sinners the supremest?”

“Passion. It lies in all of us. Sleeping... waiting... and though unwanted, unbidden, it will stir... open its jaws and howl. It speaks to us... guides us. Passion rules us all. And we obey. What other choice do we have? Passion is the source of our finest moments. The joy of love... the clarity of hatred... the ecstasy of grief. It hurts sometimes more than we can bear. If we could live without passion, maybe we'd know some kind of peace. But we would be hollow. Empty rooms, shuttered and dank. Without passion, we'd be truly dead.”

“You're going to burn in a very special level of hell. A level they reserve for child molesters and people who talk at the theater.”

I'm a masochist, so I loved every page of Shadow Kissed. Blood Promise was the hardest book for a first read, IMO. Spirit Bound ripped my heart open. But it was all worth it for Last Sacrifice.
Thank you for accepting my friend request, Lila! Happy reading, blogging and searching for awesome red-haired heroines in books :D
OMG, that cat was ADORABLE! Want!!! LOLI'm super excited for the group read, too. Until then it looks like we've got a lot of bookish likes in common to keep us busy ^_^
'Ello! Yes, red-headed Australian fish-ladies are slightly hard to find nowadays, but I assure you, we are definitely out there. In fact, there's a whole coven of us just off the Barrier Reef. We like to keep our heads down.(Hells yeah. I just ordered a Lovecraftian T-shirt, actually. It's Christmas, so... might as well...)
Ummm...you got me out with my own question! HahaI cant choose between: Jane Eyre, Scarlett O'Hara, Hermoine Granger and Lela (from guards of the shadowlands)!
Oooh the graphic novels look great, Mac looks super BADASS! I also want to choose her as my fave.
