Isabel, Anacaona & Columbus's Demise: 1498-1502 Retold

Hi Followers:

My new book, Isabel, Anacaona & Columbus’s Demise: 1498–1502 Retold, just released this morning and picks up where Columbus and Caonabó: 1493–1498 Retold left off.

Based on primary sources, it sets two remarkable woman rulers known to you—the Taíno Chieftain Anacaona and Spain’s Queen Isabel—on comparable pedestals and retells Columbus’s demise through his eyes and those of Taíno chieftains and Spaniards who opposed him. The book cover illustrates Columbus’s enslavement of eight hundred Taínos for shipment to Spain in 1498.

Undoubtedly, the depictions of various historical events will trigger some raw reactions. As before, my compact with you (and all my readers) has been to depict the history as I believe it happened based on thorough research, leaving moral judgments to you. Hope you enjoy.

You can find advance reviews and purchase links on my website www.andrewrowen.com

Best wishes, Andrew
