Christopher C. King is a Grammy-winning producer, re-mastering engineer, author and ethnomusicologist as well as a prominent 78 rpm collector. He has been profiled in the New York Times Magazine and the Washington Post, and has written for the Paris Review and the Oxford American.

He was born and raised in southwest Virginia and studied philosophy at Radford University. Over the course of twenty-five years, he has produced 353 CD collections of historical folk music from around the world. In 2002 he won a Grammy Award in the Best Historical Album category and has been nominated seven more times.
