Jessica Clem is a Minneapolis writer and editor. Her debut thriller, This Never Happened, will be published by Rowan Prose Publishing in November 2026. Her work has appeared in The Creepy Podcast, The Stygian Lepus Magazine, Creation Magazine, Macabre Magazine (formerly Dark Harbor Magazine), Ms Magazine, Literally Stories, SeaFoam Mag, and in the horror anthologies Down with the Fallen from Franklin/Kerr Press, D is for Demons from Red Cape Publishing, and After Dark from Rowan Prose Publishing.

The Night Parade by Ronald Malfi

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A beautifully haunting story about the end of the world, and about a little girl who could save us all. This story felt like Firestarter meets The Stand meets Birdbox. I could feel the tension and stakes throughout the story, and a few scenes made me cry! Highly recommend this one (as I always do for Malfi's books).
