How to read The Unreal for FREEEEEEEE!
Everyone seems to think I published this book on Amazon for the money. Though the royalties are nice, they really aren’t that much. If I really wanted to make some bank, I would have picked a different hobby than writing.
The Unreal is published on Amazon because it’s a distributer that most people can easily access. The paperback is more expensive than the ebook because Amazon charges for production costs and wants a cut of the royalties as well.
Also, it turns out some people have a burning hatred for ebooks? Like, people would ask me how much my book cost when it was first published, and I’d tell them ($8.50!). Some people would seem a little hesitant, but then I’d say, “But it’s free on the Kindle store on x date!” And then their face would go sour and they’d be all, “NO, I will pay you all my money for a physical copy, get that nasty, disgusting ebook away from me!”
Well, I have good news for you, ebook readers and haters alike! You have two opportunities to read The Unreal for free coming up!
For those who prefer ebooks: The Kindle edition of The Unreal will be free on December 24!
For those who prefer paperbacks: I just got approval for a Goodreads giveaway! From January 8th to February 1st, 2018, you can enter a random drawing on goodreads.com for a chance to win one of five signed copies of The Unreal!
Thank you so much for all your support, followers, friends, and readers. I hope you all have a lovely holiday season and a happy new year!

Ask the Author is open! (Post taken from our Tumblr, @The_Unreal_Official)
Hi all! I just wanted to let you all know that I am always available to answer questions!
Why, Kellyn, what kind of questions? You ask. Well, I’ll tell you. You can send in questions like:
Is this book available in Kindle or paperback? (Both, but the Kindle version is cheaper!)
How old are these characters? (Lori, Tay, and Taylor are 15, Drake and Conan are around 40, and Mothman is immortal)
What is Lori’s favorite ice cream flavor? (Strawberry)
What did Conan do before his family died? (He had a very similar job to Drake’s, a researcher for Area 51)
Why is this book so bad? (Because I do no english good and because it’s a book about angsty teens and a giant moth)
Who is Spooky? (He’s a hairless cat that shows up about halfway through the book)
Coke or Pepsi? (They taste the same stay woke)
Has Taylor ever lived outside of St. Louis? (Nope!)
What is the meaning of life? (Reading cool YA novels like this one!)
I promise to answer all your queries (unless they are horribly offensive or wildly inappropriate, of course, this is a family blog) as soon as I can! I love you all, goodreads, thank you so much for your support, and goodnight.
