How Many Books Do You Read In A Year?

The average is 12 books a year, ...but an avid reader would read many more. Personally, I probably read 25 or more books a year. I can get totally immersed in the story setting,... I know it's a good book when that happens! ...when you really connect with the characters, feel what they feel, know how they think,... love with them, hate with them, laugh and cry with them! ...and always, I seem to learn from them!

Joshua Becker says, "Each time I read a new book, I am stretched as a person. I am forced to embrace a new thought and evaluate my life against it. I am taken to new places and enjoy conversations with new people. I am inspired, entertained, and invested into. I become a better person because of it… I just wish I did more of it."

Good Reasons to Read Books?

* It increases my breadth of knowledge. A world of knowledge and great inspiration can be found in books. We learn something from each book.
* It stimulates my creativity and stretches my mind, - makes you rediscover life and see the world in a new way.
* Reading offers us a wealth of idea, helps us learn from the past, and see the future through different eyes.
* Reading keeps you healthy! It is a great stress reliever, it stimulates the brain and has been proven to help prevent Alzheimer's disease and dementia, and insomnia.
* It's great entertainment! ...and much less expensive than other forms of recreation,... and much better than movies,... it gets you inside the heads of the characters to know what they are thinking,... something a movie can never capture!
