I’ve spent the past two years writing a thriller about a criminal who rises above his own weaknesses and desires, and becomes a hero. At its heart it’s a story is about courage, and it really put any notions I had about my own bravery into perspective. It’s hard to be heroic when you’re neurotic, and neurotic I most certainly am.
