Let’s discuss how Narcissists condition their victims, here the unassuming victim is slowly stripped of self-value and self-worth. through calculated emotional conditioning:

Silent treatment: Used as punishment, it makes the victim feel invisible and desperate to “earn” attention again.

1. Withholding Love and Affection

Intermittent reinforcement: They give affection sparingly, creating a cycle of hope and disappointment.Emotional starvation: Victims begin to crave validation, becoming dependent on the narcissist’s approval.

2. Idealization Followed by Devaluation

Love bombing: Early on, the narcissist showers the victim with praise, gifts, and attention.Sudden withdrawal: Once the victim is emotionally invested, the narcissist pulls away, leaving confusion and self-doubt.Gaslighting: They deny previous affection or twist reality, making the victim question their own memory and worth.

3. Projection and Blame-Shifting

Blaming the victim: Any emotional reaction is turned against them—“You’re too sensitive,” “You’re overreacting.”Projecting flaws: The narcissist accuses the victim of the very behaviors they themselves exhibit.Eroding identity: Over time, the victim internalizes these criticisms, losing confidence and clarity.

4. The “Narcissistic Dance”

Push-pull dynamic: The narcissist alternates between charm and cruelty, keeping the victim off-balance.False hope: Occasional kindness is used to reset the cycle, making the victim believe things can improve.Dependency loop: The victim becomes emotionally tethered, believing they need the narcissist to feel whole.

When you have children, who have children it is the coolest thing. Being a grandma, nana, or mumsy is a joy that life brings. Anyway, let me tell you a cute story…

I get a phone call from my daughter after dark and pretty much the conversation went like this.

Mom, sorry to call so late, she was explaining the reason for the call, [when the phone was yanked from her hand]

Nana, Nana I have a question for you. Do you have a moon?

Of course I do. [I walked onto the porch]

He continued in an excited tone, Do you see the moon, it is on the left.?

Astonished by his instructions of where to find HIS moon. {You need to understand his tone was so serious and he was so excited about realizing we were both looking at the same moon. Understand his lives in South Jersey and I live in Northeast Pennsy.}

Thus, the poem2lyrics below was born. PS- He is about to be 6 yr.
